This is easily the best Indian Restaurant in and around Cologne. We liked the food so much that we drove from Belgium once just for the food. The owner is very friendly and service is good. Ambience is pretty good and Hindi songs plays in the background. Tandoori chicken , bhindi masala was delicious. Highly recommended if you really want to savor Indian taste.

One of the best restaurant in Cologne and the best Indian one.. I am very in love with the amazing and very delicious food in this restaurant.. They have many and many amazing Indian specialties. A looot of different side and main dishes.. The service is very nice and they have only kind, friendly and professional service.. In Addition to that, the restaurant is ALWAYS clean.. What I also really like about the restaurant is the decoration, the warm atmosphere with the nice Indian music that gives you the feeling you are somewhere far away :) ALSO, you can have some really nice offers for big events and dinner with families, friends etc. I’ve celebrated my birthday with 12 people there and EVERYONE was nothing but super happy with everything there.. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT 👍🏼

One of the best restaurant I have visited so far in North Rhein Westphalia (NRW) so far tried many indian restaurants not that happy but this restaurants taste is authentic Indian. Great ambience and during the corona pandemic every table is cleaned and sanitized properly. I tried Non-Veg Thali (18.50€ as of 24/10/2020). Good amount of basmati Rice 1 Butter Naan 1 chicken gravy (personal favourite) Chicken was juicy and flavourful. 1 lamb gravy Lamb is very tender and cherry tomatoes give a very good taste combination. 1 Dal (Linsen) One of the indian comfort food never get disappointed. 1 pickle 1 dessert I was served Gulab Jamun a slight hint of rose water balances the sweetness really well and blends with the taste. Also tried Mango and salty Lassi both were good. Salty Lassi gives a very refreshing taste Food: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Staff: 5/5 Overall satisfied with this restaurant Performance and quality of food.

I was looking for an indian place around since i adore Indian food, i found this place and went there based on the high recommendations. I went to indian restaurants in many countries and was really annoyed that it was the worst of them. Service made me feel like it was a fastfood place rather than a restaurant, the food was not tasty as i expected. When we commented to the waiter he said they reduced spices since people in Germany rather non spicy food but it was not only about spices as the naan bread itself did not taste like the naan I know. So if you really like Indian food and atmosphere I do not recommend it.

Been here several times, and will return. Most recently had a very tasty lamb bhuna, (although there could have been more meat for the price) The garlic naan is tops(for a carb) and the seating arrangements (re:Corona) seem appropriate

I tried the lamb Biryani. It was just an awesome experience and also the poori with spicy bengan curry was great. The lamb was tender and it was delicious.

Mango Lassi tastes simply heavenly. All the dishes are made so freshly.

Tandoori chilli chicken is my favorite dish here. Their service is good too.

Ginti serves the best Indian food in Cologne. We have been here several times and also recommended a lot of friends. But it was a different experience this time all together. Yesterday, I visited the restaurant with some colleagues. The service provided was pathetic. We ordered mango lassi, which was not even close to mango or lassi, too much of milk. We tried to complain- nothing positive, no response but ignorance from the service team. Later naan came 10 minutes before the main dishes and they were all cold and hard till the time curry was served, again request was ignored by the service team👎 They had many customers on weekend so probably they were more interested in business and ignored the quality of the food completely. IT WAS AN AWEFUL experience. We ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and they gave us gravy with 4 raw paneer cubes. THAT WAS INSANE! After enquiring again they said we will send the manager but manager never appeared. Germans or other nationals who are not aware of the actual food can be fooled easily like this but what about the Indians? Well, even my German colleagues pointed out that the behaviour was rude. I'm not visiting here again. But if you want to go there try to go during weekdays when they have less customers- they will be more attentive. On weekends they seem to ignore everything.

Let s just say that I will never eat at another restaurant again except for Ginti.

Unfortunately I have to give this place 3.5 stars - the food was tasty, but had small portions (I only had 3 pieces of chicken in my chicken tikka masala), and the service wasn’t so friendly. We had the impression they wanted us served fast so that we would leave faster... But most horrifying was the lack of COVID guidelines... we were there early on a Sunday for dinner and the place was PACKED. The tables are too close together, with no plastic or anything separating them and we were really uneasy because of it the whole time... *please change this* of someone will report you to the Ordnungsamt! We won’t be back anytime soon because of this I’m sorry to say :(

I've had food from here before, the food and service is very nice! But apparently they don't understand how reservations work, we reserved a table the day before and when we go there no tables were available, waited for 15 minutes in the rain only to go to another restaurant

Lovely place. We got the Thali, one Veg and one Non-Veg. They were both delicious - aromatic, flavourful, and complex. And very filling! The waitstaff is friendly, efficient and knowledgable. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also quite nice, like a fancy living room - as comfortable as a living room, but one you'd be comfortable inviting the CEO over to for a Dinner Party. Very much enjoyed and will come back again!

Great place super cozy and the food was delicious

They messed up our reservation, treated us condescendingly as if it was our fault, then tried to seat us way too close to another table given the circumstances (COVID-19). Needless to say, we turned on our heel and left. Shame, since it smelled like they had delicious food, actually.

Ginti has delicious and fresh, northern-Indian dishes. I have had tasty lunch and have enjoyed the quiet, traditional music in the background, with the very right surrounded ambiente. The service is highly professional and very kind. Definitely worthy all the prize. It was my first visit and surly not my last time.
